DCC decoders come in all shapes and sizes. Seen above are, left to right:

• An ESU LokSound 2 sound-equipped example with speaker.
• A Lenz LE1024E, a typical medium-sized specimen aimed at the HO and OO markets.
• A Lenz LE0521, one of the smaller types primarily intended for N gauge, but equally suited to small diesel shunters in the larger scales.
